Author Announcement

The committee are thrilled to announce the second confirmed author for the 2011 Unconvention in Nottingham. The renowned crime novelist Stephen Booth, who lives in Nottinghamshire, has very kindly agreed to present to us about his writing and his books. Stephen began his career as a novelist in 2000, when his debut novel Black Dog was named by the Evening Standard as one of the six best crime novels of the year and won a prestigious crime novel award in the USA. He has gone on to write a further 10 books (the most recent to be published in April this year) in the popular Cooper & Fry series of novels about a pair of Detectives based in the Derbyshire peak district.

As well as being an established crime writer, Stephen continues to be a keen reader being a (somewhat lapsed) BookCrosser and giving his support to World Book Night and the good old British library. More information about Stephen and his writing can be found by visiting the Author pages of this site.
